What are the types of flat roofs?

Depending on the application, execution technology, materials used the flat roofs are traditional, inverted, as well as the exploited and unexploited.

Inverted roof differs from the traditional in that the layer of insulation is mounted on the waterproofing layer, and not under it.

At the same time the waterproofing receives the additional protection against external influences.

Insulation is also protected by drainage, geotextile, topcoat (e.g. paving slabs). The construction of the inverted roof allows to use the roof  space in urban areas very efficiently.
